I know for myself I learned a lot musically from Dr.Lloyd Mallory during my 4 years in the choir. I enjoyed the travelling and fellowship with others. I miss it tremendously. I often sit back and think of the songs that we sang like O For A Faith, and it gives me hope and it lifts me up when I am down. I thank God for those experiences.

I loved the choir. I was a member under the direction of Mrs. Foster (82-84). I remember Mrs. Foster always having us to practice headtone for mature voices. Sometimes I felt like she would beat her head to death to get sections to use headtone. My favorite songs were "The Battle Hymn..." and "We Shall Behold Him" with Toni Hicks or Janice Chandler singing the solo. I also remember the famous bus rides to places on the green bus. People were quick to call their spot on the way back on late evening trips. People would want to fight over their sleeping spot on the floor. The choir was definitely a great experience.

Singing in the choir was great we got to travel and see the different States I had the best time. Mrs.Foster was a wonderful director and Mr. Foster could play that organ like no one I've seen, it was a joy to be a part of that great PFA choir and the experience has help me in my life. I have such fond memories of the PFA choir and (band also). I sang under the awesome direction of Mr. David Green during my Junior/Senior years. One of my proudest momemts was singing/performing "Handel's Messiah" in my home church while on tour. Those were the good ole days. The bus ALWAYS broke down; no big deal because we always had such fun!!!!!!! Remember how we had to stay at church members' homes? Once, a few of us were chosen by a (nice little ole lady) whose driver license must have expired years prior. She drove us to her home on the WRONG side of the road. When we arrived, we were so shaken that we could hardly speak; we showered and went straight to bed, no snack or dinner: just scared ;-) Oh What Precious Memories!!!!!!!

I'm happy to have been a part of the baddest Bass section ever, of course that was a long time ago (1965-1968), directed by Carol Fletcher.
