Thank you Raymond. I loved your pictures as well. Perhaps one day we will have the opportunity to meet. Your video set off a chain of memories that are quite pleasant. My Father was the second principal of Pine Forge Institute and that little campus was my whole life until I was 17 years old. Fond, fond memories. Many thanks once again.
Raymond, you don't know me but I needed to tell you that your video and the accompanying music lifted my heart. I graduated in 1965 and some of my best childhood memories included that song. I first heard it when Dr. Anthony sang it at the old chapel the first year he came to the Institute in 1958, I believe. Thank you so much for sharing this with me. When I saw the boys jumping on the tractor, I remember my Uncle Bob (Handy) riding me around as a child. Thank you. Thank you. Ersula I. Watson
After watching this, I forwarded this on to Jesse with the hope he will join this site. All three of us attended Pine Forge, I am not sure if you knew my brother Earl, who graduated in 1966, but he passed away this past April. I truly wish he could have seen this wonderful site. It is amazing and the video simply adds to it. Thanks again for sharing it with all of us.
Raymond, I knew your brother Garthell and Byron. I met Garthell at Oakwood when he was dating JoAnn. Garthell graduated with my brother Jesse Watkins and I think I saw a glimpse of him on the video as well as a brief shot of my mother upfront trying to get a picture. What a wonderful memory. Thank you for sharing this with all of us. The music was superb. Janet Watkins Wynn/65
Yes, I am married to Wes. I asked him if he knew your son and he wasn't sure. I will have to show him your site to see if he recognizes any of the young men on it. I am assuming your son is the guy in the scrub suit. You must be extremely proud. Between Donna and myself we need to have him to dinner. By the way, your artwork is beautiful!
Hi Raymond, I am Anthony Murphy's wife and a PFA alum. I got to know Garthelle through Fred here in Atlanta. He is missed by many as I am sure you are well aware. Thanks so much for the video and using Back to Basics as the soundtrack is just awesome. God Bless!
Hey Raymond,
I am doing what most are, that is working hard, focusing on getting the kids though school, working to improve my physical condition which as you may know seems to get more difficult each year and pondering working on a Doctorate even at this late stage in life. You look the same though I notice a bit heavier than I remember. The pictures are amazing. Good to hear from you.
